Echeveria Advisory

Your content is reaching people in their most vulnerable moments around food and their bodies. Is it helping or hurting?.

Echeveria Advisory helps wellness brands, apps, and platforms communicate about food and bodies in an affirming and inclusive way.

Why This Matters

Despite the best intentions, a lot of wellness messaging is harmful.

Your product, platform, and content exist to help people feel better in their bodies and their lives.

But the wellness industry is full of:

Diet-culture language that slips through unnoticed.

Weight-focused framing that alienates.

Disordered AI-generated responses.

Most content teams don't have the background to catch this harmful messaging.

And by the time customers start flagging it publicly, or taking their business elsewhere, the damage is already done. The good news is:

This is a fixable problem if you work with someone who knows exactly where to look.

This is Where
We Come In

Echeveria Advisory builds diet culture-informed content strategy for wellness brands that want their messaging to feel as thoughtful as their mission.

When your language is inclusive and affirming, people notice. A customer in recovery opens your app and feels safe. A reader lands on your blog and thinks, "finally, someone who gets it." A user stays with your platform because they feel seen.

We help you find the language that's causing harm, replace it with messaging that builds trust, and create frameworks so your team can keep getting it right.

People are loyal to brands that make them feel seen and safe.

The way you talk about food and bodies shapes how people experience your brand. When that language feels safe and intentional, it reaches the people who need it most and gives them a reason to stay.

Reach More Customers

People in larger bodies, those with eating disorder histories, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities are some of the most underserved audiences in wellness. Inclusive language opens the door to customers who are actively looking for a brand that gets it.

Keep Them Longer

People who feel good about their bodies stick with wellness habits long-term. Body-affirming messaging builds the kind of motivation that doesn't burn out, which means better retention and higher lifetime value.

Become the Go-To

In a sea of wellness companies telling customers to fix, change, and shrink, the brands that communicate differently become the ones people trust, talk about, and stay loyal to. Change your language and become the brand customers are shouting about.

Strategy and Content Rooted
in Lived Experience

Echeveria Advisory is led by Jessica Thiefels, a content strategist and marketer with more than 15 years of experience. Jessica is in disordered eating recovery herself, which means she understands what harmful language feels like to encounter and how it can affect someone in their most vulnerable moments.

That lived experience and her work with mental health and eating disorder organizations shapes every piece of work she does and brings a perspective that a generalist or agency simply cannot replicate.

Jessica Thiefels is a content strategist with more than 15 years of experience supporting organizations both big and small. She’s also a published author and the founder of Nope, That’s Not Normal, a podcast and Substack publication that helps people continue healing on the other side of diet culture.

Why Companies Work With Us

The companies we work with care deeply about how they communicate. They've reached a moment where they want their messaging to reflect that care, and they're looking for someone who understands why it matters.

Your content team needs clear guidelines.

You're publishing at scale without a shared language around food and bodies, which can lead to inconsistency and harmful missteps.

A launch or re-brand is coming soon.

You want the messaging foundation to be thoughtful from day one so your team has something to build from as you grow.

You’re questioning your content.

A customer flagged something, your team raised a concern, or you noticed language that doesn't reflect the brand you're building.

Your AI is talking to users about sensitive topics.

A chatbot or coach is responding to questions about food and bodies every day, often without a human reviewing what it says.

You want every touchpoint to reflect your values

From onboarding to email to in-app language, you want people to feel supported at every stage of their experience with your brand.

Language is Where Trust Starts

When your messaging is inclusive and affirming, people notice. They stay longer, they tell their friends, and they build the kind of loyalty that comes from feeling welcome rather than pressured to fix, change, or shrink
